Are you ready for an overdose of colors? You better be, because a gigantic and colorful storm is approaching Vietnam! On May 12, Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7 will be the theater of the amazing Color Me Run! Life is short, so you better chase those memorable moments, the ones where your adrenaline is high, you want to suddenly stop time and just… Shout Out Loud!
What is it?
It’s the happiest 5 kilometers run in the world. It’s simple: you start the un-timed race wearing white and you finish it all plastered in color! You see, every kilometer, the thousands of participants or “Color Runners” are doused from head to toe in different colors…
And the fun doesn’t stop with the race; it continues with the unforgettable Finish Festival: A larger than life party with music, dancing and more color throwing, creating an amazing whirlwind of millions of colors.
A Little History
Started in 2011, the Color Me Run is the largest running series in the world. From the very beginning, it strived to make running feel accessible to everyone. Its mission has always been to bring people together, thus making our beloved planet a happier and healthier place. More than just running, it’s an experience that is more about the memories you make than your miles per minute.
Nicknamed “The Happiest 5K on the Planet,” it has been experienced by over 6 million runners in more than 35 countries.

Color Runners vary in demographics and reasons for running. With no winners or official times, the Color Me Run caters to everyone—first time runners to seasoned athletes. Some Color Runners participate as a celebration and capstone of their healthy living accomplishments, while others participate for reasons unique to them.
What will you be running for?
Over the last few years, the festival has certainly made its mark on the Vietnamese Metropolis, spreading happiness while giving people a taste for staying in shape.
American expat, Jess participated in last year’s Color Me Run in Saigon. In her words: “I loved the Color Me Run because it is a unique way of bringing people from all over the city together. Once the actual run is over, everyone who competed has the chance to dance to some excellent music and play around in the colors.”
